IRVING, Texas- Alabama senior rower Tabitha Coleman (Chancellor, Ala.) was one of 19 student-athletes named to the 2013 Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league office announced Thursday.

Coleman, who earned her second degree at the Capstone earlier this month, had a 3.66 GPA in history and already received a degree in biology. Coleman was earlier named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. The Chancellor, Ala., native also was named the University of Alabama Southeastern Conference Brad Davis Award nominee.

Coleman was on the 1st varsity 8 that won a gold medal at the Head of the Chattanooga this fall. She also earned a bronze medal at the Head of the Charles and at the Head of the Hooch.

The Alabama rowing team will compete in the C-USA championships next weekend at Oak Ridge, Tenn. Competition will begin on Friday, May 17 on Melton Hill Lake.
