TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -
Judge John England, a member of the University of Alabama Board of Trustees, stopped by the Crimson Tide's practice facility Tuesday afternoon to congratulate the newly crowned 2014 Southeastern Conference Champion Alabama gymnastics team.
England, who was in the stands of the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center when Alabama won its eighth conference titles, shared with the team and coaching staff the excitement and pride he felt while he watched the Tide storm to the title over the Florida Gators.
He also wished Alabama luck as they prepared to travel west as the No. 1 seed at the NCAA Seattle Regional Championship, which will be held April 5 in Seattle, Wa., starting at 4 p.m. PDT. He also to the team that he would again be sitting in the stands of the BJCC April 18-20 for the NCAA Championships.
