TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -
The Alabama gymnastics team is seventh in the latest rankings, setting up a top-10 showdown with No. 10 Arkansas this Friday in Coleman Coliseum starting at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for Friday's "Power of Pink" meet are available through the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262) located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum, and online at RollTide.com.
Oklahoma retains its No. 1 ranking this week, followed by LSU, Florida, Utah and Michigan. Georgia checks in at No. 6 this week, followed by the Crimson Tide, UCLA, Nebraska and the Razorbacks. Alabama will face seven members of this week's top 10 this season. The rankings are based on season average at this point.
The Tide is fourth on the vault and uneven bars, eighth on the balance beam and 11th on the floor exercise after week two of the season.
Individually, senior Kim Jacob is 13th in the all-around and 22nd on the uneven bars. Freshman Katie Bailey is also ranked in the all-around, checking in at No. 17. Senior Diandra Milliner is ranked No. 1 on the floor exercise and No. 4 on the vault.
Sophomore Lauren Beers and senior Sarah DeMeo are ranked 17th and 22nd respectively on the vault. Junior Kaitlyn Clark is 10th while freshman Amanda Jetter is 18th on the uneven bars.
