"I'm very proud of Sarah and the great start she got off to at Missouri," UA head coach Sarah Patterson said. "Last weekend was a good indication of the hard work and effort she's put into preparing for this season."
DeMeo earned the award, which is in its first year, after winning the uneven bars and balance beam in the Crimson Tide's season opener at Missouri last Friday. DeMeo and her teammates return to action this Friday at 7:30 p.m. CT when they open their home slate against the No. 5 ranked LSU Tigers. Season and single meet tickets are available through the Alabama Ticket Office (205.348.2262) located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum, or online at RollTide.com.
