TULSA, Okla. - Alabama women's golf coach Mic Potter gets his ninth season at the Capstone underway on Monday when his Crimson Tide open the 2013-14 season at the Dale McNamara Fall Preview at the Tulsa Country Club.
The Crimson Tide is coming off the program's second SEC Championship last season and has qualified for eight straight NCAA Championships, including the 2012 NCAA title.
Potter will start Emma Talley, Stephanie Meadow, Daniela Lendl, Cammie Gray and Janie Jackson at the Dale McNamara Fall Preview. The Tulsa Country Club will also host the 2014 NCAA Women's Golf Championships in May.
The event gets underway on Monday, Sept. 10, and will follow with the second round on Sept. 11 and the final round on Sept. 12.
Meadow, a senior from Jordanstown, Northern Ireland, led the Tide and the nation in stroke average a year ago with a school-record 71.24 scoring average. She is a three-time All-American and holds the school mark for career victories with seven.
Talley, a sophomore from Princeton, Ky., won the United States Women's Amateur in August after posting 73.0 scoring average and second-team All-America honors in 2013. She was also named the SEC Freshman of the Year and won the PING/ASU Invitational.
Gray, from Northport, Ala., redshirted last year before winning the Alabama Amateur and Amateur Match Play titles. She then advanced to the round of 16 at the U.S. Amateur. Lendl returns after starting nine events last season with a 75.50 scoring average.
Jackson, a sophomore transfer originally from Huntsville, Ala., was an honorable mention All-Pac 12 selection as a freshman at Arizona a year ago.
