The Elite 89 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.
Meadow is competing in her fourth NCAA Championships and ranks third in the most recent Golstat.com Head-to-Head rankings. She leads team with a 71.43 scoring average and has two tournament victories on the season and an Alabama record nine in her career.
Meadow was a first team Capital One Academic All-American in 2013 and is a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar. She was selected as the SEC Player and Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2013 and 2014. Meadow is the second Alabama player to win the NCAA Elite 89 Award, joining Brooke Pancake in 2010.
Eligible student-athletes are sophomores or above who have participated in their sport for at least two years with their school.
