AUSTIN, Texas - The Alabama women's golf team shot 1-over-par 289 in the second round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational on Monday and are tied for the 36-hole lead on the par-72, 6,344-yard University of Texas Golf Club.

The Crimson Tide is tied with Florida at 3-under 573 headed into Tuesday's final round. Arizona State and Arkansas are tied for third place at even-par 576. Host Texas and Tulsa are tied for fifth at 10-over-par 586.

"Stephanie Meadow and Jennifer Kirby are playing great golf," Potter said. "We had it going as a team pretty well at the beginning of the round, but we didn't take advantage of the par-5 fifth or ninth holes and that was a difference maker. We have to be better on Tuesday. We are in good position, now we just have to go out and put together a solid round."

Kirby, a native of Paris, Ontario, is tied with the Gators' Camilla Hedberg at 6-under 138. Kirby has matching rounds of 3-under-par 69. She opened with three straight birdies on Monday and made the turn at 1-under after a double bogey on the ninth. The senior rebounded with a birdie on the 10th and 14th holes to close out her round.

Junior Stephanie Meadow is one shot back of Kirby at 5-under 139. The native of Jordanstown, Northern Ireland, recorded one birdie and one bogey on the front, but made three birdies on the back nine to finish with a 70.

Emma Talley and Hannah Collier rounded out the Tide's counting scores. Talley shot 2-over 74 and is tied for 20th while Collier fired a 76. Johanna Tillström's 5-over 77 was dropped from Alabama's team score in the second round.

Alabama will play with Florida and Arizona State in Tuesday's final round, which is slated to tee off at 8:45 a.m. at the University of Texas Golf Club.
