CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Alabama women's golf team found its swing on Saturday in the second round of the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at the par-72, 6,285-yard UNC Golf Course to move into second place.

The Crimson Tide began the day in a tie for 13th place but fired the lowest round of the day at 7-under 281 to vault up the leader board at 4-over 580. Duke leads at 8-under-par 568 after shooting 282 in the second round. Oklahoma is third at 6-over 582 with Vanderbilt and Clemson tied for fourth at 8-over 584.

Senior Stephanie Meadow and sophomore Emma Talley pace the Tide in a tie for sixth after 36 holes at 2-under 142. Meadow carded a 4-under 68 on Saturday while Talley matched her opening round with a 1-under 71.

Sophomore transfer Janie Jackson shot 2-under 70, eight shots better than her first round to move into 40th position on Saturday. She carded four birdies and two bogeys on her round. Redshirt freshman Cammie Gray also improved her second-round score with an even-par 72 and is tied with Jackson in 40th. Hannah Collier's 77 was dropped from the Alabama team score in round two.

Alabama will play with Duke and Oklahoma in Sunday's final round at the Tar Heel Invitational. The Tide are slated to tee off the first at 8:15 a.m. (CDT).
