UA FACES BUCKNELL AT FAMILIAR TOURNAMENT SITE
The Crimson Tide returns to action following a week off for Christmas on Sunday against Bucknell in the opening game of the St. Peter's Holiday Classic. This will be Alabama's third appearance in this tournament in the past five years. Bama captured the tournament crown at the event in 1998 with wins over TCU and St. Peter's and in 2000 after defeating UMass and St. Peter's. In addition to a pair of games, the Tide will also enjoy some of the sites and sounds of New York City.

*This is the first meeting between Alabama and Bucknell in women's basketball.
*The game features one of the nation's top scorers (Bucknell's Molly Creamer - 25 ppg) and one of the nation's top three-point shooters (Bama's Beth Vice - 3.3 treys made per game)
ALABAMA'S TOURNEY HISTORY
Alabama owns a 114-39 (.745) all-time record in regular season tournaments (73 events). Following a pair of tournament titles last seaon, the Tide upped its championship total to 35 all-time tourney crowns. Rick Moody has enjoyed a great deal of success at in-season tournaments posting a 79-11 (.878) record in 46 events. Bama has also made a habit of capturing
tournament hardware, having won 27 titles under Moody's tutelage.
TIDE ROLLING WITH VARIETY OF LINEUPS
For the first five games of the year, Alabama started the same five players but in the last five games UA has used five different lineups.
*Only junior point guard Manisha Redus and senior center Jamilah Johns have started every game for the Tide.
*Eight different players have earned a starting nod this season with sophomore Monique Bivins and junior Oreal Taylor earning their first career starts.
