Breanna Hayden Transfers to Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Breanna Hayden, a 5-8 guard from Dallas, will join the Crimson Tide women's basketball team in January, head coach Kristy Curry announced. Hayden, who comes to Alabama after a semester at Baylor, will sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules and will be eligible to compete in January, 2015.

Hayden won two area championships at Madison High School in Dallas and was named District 12-3A MVP her senior year. She played in both the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-Star games, earning MVP honors at the TGCA All-Star game. Hayden averaged 30.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.0 steals and 3.0 blocks per game as a senior en route to being named the TGCA 1A, 2A and 3A Player of the Year in 2013.
