Tide Hosts Wofford on Monday for Annual Fifth Grade Fastbreak Game

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The women's basketball team (6-2) will host Wofford (4-3) on Monday for the Crimson Tide's annual Fifth Grade Fastbreak game, welcoming thousands of Tuscaloosa county fifth graders. The game will tip off in Foster Auditorium at 11 a.m. CT.
The game will be the first between the Crimson Tide and Terriers. Alabama is 26-8 versus teams from the Southern Conference all time.
Last time out, the Tide ended its two-game losing skid with an 80-71 victory at Troy. Junior Jasmine Robinson led three players in double figures with 25 points while senior Meghan Perkins pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
On the season, Alabama is led in scoring by sophomore Daisha Simmons, who averages 13.9 points per game. She is also the team's leader in assists (4.5 apg), blocks (1.1 bpg), steals (3.8 spg) and minutes (33.9 mpg). As a team, the Tide is averaging 76.9 points per game. Alabama leads the nation in steals per game (16.6 spg) and turnover margin (+14.3).
Wofford enters Monday's game having lost its last two games, both of which have come on the road. The Terriers are averaging 56.9 points per game as a team while allowing opponents an average of 60.4 points per contest. Senior Morgan Wrightson leads Wofford in scoring with an average of 11.7 points per game. She is followed by fellow senior Daniella Motley, who adds 10.4 points per contest. Motley also leads the team in rebounds (9.9 rpg) and blocks (1.7 bpg).
