BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
Aneesah Daniels was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week for women's basketball on Nov. 28, the league announced Monday. Daniels is the third Crimson Tide player to earn SEC Freshman of the Week honors, joining Jasmine Robinson and Kaneisha Horn, who earned the award on Nov. 22, 2010, and Nov. 29, 2010, respectively.

Eleven of the Tide's final 18 points came from Daniels in the victory. She also had a pair of offensive rebounds to keep the ball in Alabama's possession in overtime with less than 19 seconds on the clock.
The Decatur, Ga., native is averaging 18.5 minutes per game, seeing a career-high 24 minutes of action against Seton Hall. She averaged 8.3 points and 5.5 rebounds during the trip to the tournament.
Catch Daniels and the rest of the Tide on Friday, Dec. 2, when it hosts Southeastern Louisiana in Foster Auditorium. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
