TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The women's basketball team (10-6, 0-3 SEC) returns to the court on Sunday for a matchup with Mississippi (7-9, 0-3 SEC) at C.M. Tad Smith Coliseum in Oxford, Miss. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. CT and will air on SportSouth and ESPN3.com.

The Crimson Tide and Rebels will be meeting for the 53rd time in program history. Mississippi owns a 33-19 advantage in the series; however, Alabama won the last meeting by a 52-47 decision in Oxford.

The Tide enters Sunday's contest on a three-game losing skid, having dropped each of its Southeastern Conference games this season. As a team, Alabama is averaging 70.4 points per game and 41.2 rebounds per contest.

Three players are currently averaging double figure points for UA, led by sophomore Daisha Simmons (12.1 ppg). She is followed by juniors Shafontaye Myers (11.4 ppg) and Jasmine Robinson (10.9 ppg). Simmons also leads the team in assists (4.3 apg) and steals (2.8 spg) while senior Alicia Mitcham and redshirt sophomore Kaneisha Horn average a team-best 5.2 rebounds per contest apiece.

Last time out, the Tide dropped a 95-83 decision to No. 13 Georgia in Alabama's third-straight game against a top-25 opponent. Alabama had four players finish with 14 points or more, led by Simmons' 19-point performance.

Mississippi is coming off a 76-52 loss to Auburn, which was the Rebels' third-consecutive defeat, all coming to SEC opponents.

The Rebels are led in scoring by junior Diara Moore, who averages 11.3 points per game. Junior Valencia McFarland also averages double digits for Mississippi at 11.1 points per contest while sophomore Tia Faleru comes off the bench with a 10.5 point-per-game contribution. McFarland leads the team in assists (4.7 apg) and steals (2.7 spg) while senior Courtney Marbra pulls down a team-best 5.9 boards per contest.

As a team, the Rebels are averaging 66.4 points and 41.6 rebounds per game.
