AUBURN, Ala. - The women's basketball team dropped an 81-40 decision at Auburn on Thursday night at Auburn Arena. The loss puts the Crimson Tide at 12-17 overall and 2-13 against Southeastern Conference opponents, while the win moves the Tigers to 12-16 on the season and 4-11 in the league.

Alabama finished the game with 29 turnovers of which Auburn scored 37 points off of. The Tigers shot 49.2 percent (30-for-61) from the floor and 55.6 percent (10-for-18) from three-point range, while the Tide was 31.8 percent (14-for-44) for the game. In addition, Auburn had 16 steals.
Auburn would score the first basket of the game at the 19:42 mark and would hold onto the lead for the duration. Alabama cut the Tiger's 19-point lead down to 12 with 4:25 remaining in the half, however Auburn would score 12 unanswered points to close out the first and head into the locker room with a 47-23 advantage.
The Tigers continued to shoot well from the floor in the second half, starting things off with a 7-0 run over the opening 90 seconds. Auburn led by as many as 39 in the game.
