The Alabama men’s cross country team checks in at 31st in the latest United States Cross Country Coaches Association rankings.
After posting a seventh place finish at the prestigious Notre Dame Invitational this weekend in South Bend, Indiana, Alabama also checks in at third in the latest USCCCA South Regional rankings.
Freshman Augustus Maiyo led the Tide for the third straight meet finishing seventh overall on the 8k course in a time of 23:47. He and fellow freshmen Abraham Kutingala and Titus Koeh have served as the backbone of the team this season being the top three finishers in all three meets for Alabama this year.
Alabama will take this weekend off before traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas on October 15 for the Chile Pepper Festival, one of the top meets in the country.
