Men's Track Places Two on Academic All-American Team

Troy Henderson

University of Alabama men’s track standouts Troy Henderson and Brian Rohrer have been named Verizon Academic All-American performers.
Henderson, a graduate student with a 3.96 GPA in Environmental Sciences, ran distances for the Tide this season and earned All-American status as a member of Alabama’s distance medley relay team that placed third at the 2002 NCAA Indoor Championships.  He was named a 1st Team Verizon Academic All-American.

Rohrer, a senior majoring in Biology with a GPA of 3.99, competed in pole vault and decathlon for the Tide while being named a 2nd Team Verizon Academic All-American performer.  Rohrer broke the school indoor record in the pole vault at the Nike Fast Times meet (Feb. 28) with a mark of 17’02.75”.

Henderson and Rohrer were both named Academic All-SEC performers as well.
