BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced the 2009 USTFCCCA Men's Division I Outdoor Track and Field All-Americans and the Southeastern Conference had 65 male student-athletes, including Tyson David, from 11 different schools named to the list.

The 65 selections on the men's side from the SEC were led by Florida with 12 athletes.

David, a native of Kitui, Kenya, earned his second All-American honor of the 2009 season as he finished seventh in the 5,000 meter final with a time of 14:10.75. David was fifth at the indoor national championships in the 5,000 meter race.

The NCAA Championships were held June 10-13 in Fayetteville, Ark. Alabama finished tied for 62nd with two points.
