The University of Alabama men’s distance program took its show across the country this weekend as four of its runners were among the 4,000 athletes at the Stanford Invitational.
The Crimson Tide came away from the meet with three NCAA qualifying marks.
Peter Etoot posted an NCAA Regional qualifying mark in the 1,500m with a time of 3:47.27. Augustus Maiyo easily qualified for the NCAA Regionals in the 5k with a time of 13:53.88, nearly 15 seconds ahead of the qualifying cut off time. And Alex Korir posted an NCAA Championship provisional qualifying time of 29:03.18 in the 10k, 3.18 seconds off an automatic qualifying time.
Titus Koeh also competed this weekend in the 1,500m and posted a time of 3:51.18.
Alabama will take the next weekend off from competition before returning to action on April 9 at the Clemson Invite.
