DES MOINES, Iowa - The Alabama men's track team took care of business Wednesday by moving on both its athletes that competed. Senior Augustus Maiyo and sophomore Emmanuel Bor extended their seasons by qualifying for the finals at the NCAA Championships.

Maiyo began the day for the Crimson Tide men by running the 11th fastest 3000 meter steeplechase time. Maiyo crossed the line in a time of 8:49.82. Maiyo will run in the finals on Friday, June 13 at 7:40 p.m.

Bor followed suit by qualifying in the 5000 meters. The sophomore also ran the 11th fastest qualifying time by crossing the line in 14:15.53. Bor will toe the line in the finals also on Friday with the gun sounding at 9:35 p.m.

Alabama junior Tyson David will compete in the first final for the Crimson Tide. David will run in the 10,000 meters on Thursday at 8:50 p.m. The SEC record holder enters the event with the fifth fastest time in the nation.
