TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama men's tennis team will split up this weekend with four scheduled to compete at the Napa Valley Tennis Classic in Napa, Calif., while another four will represent Alabama at the SEC Fall Classic in Nashville, Tenn. Play gets underway in Napa on Friday, while Nashville's tournament, being held at Vanderbilt, will begin on Thursday.
Senior Daniil Proskura, junior Andrew Goodwin, sophomore Becker O'Shaughnessey and freshman Nikko Madregallejo will take part in the Napa Valley Tennis Classic, a tournament that has been run annually at the Meadowood resort since 2001. Joining the Tide will be California, Florida State, Stanford, Texas A&M and a host of USTA juniors. Draws will consist of round robin play in both singles and doubles.
Representing the Tide at the SEC Fall Classic is junior Stuart Kenyon and freshmen Hayes Brewer, Saxon Buehning and Sean Donohue. The tournament will open on Thursday with two rounds of doubles followed by two rounds of singles.
