Men's Tennis Starts up at Southern Intercollegiates

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The men's tennis team will kick off the 2013 fall season this weekend at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Ga. The tournament will run from Friday, Sept. 13, through Sunday, Sept. 15.

The Crimson Tide will be represented by seven of its nine members including juniors Andrew Goodwin and Stuart Kenyon, sophomore Becker O'Shaughnessey and freshmen Hayes Brewer, Saxon Buehning, Sean Donohue and Nikko Madregallejo.

Along with Alabama, and host institution Georgia, 26 additional schools will be competing including Armstrong Atlantic, Barry University, Charlotte, Clemson, College of Charleston, East Tennessee State, Florida Atlantic, Furman, Georgia Tech, Georgia Gwinnett College, Georgia Southern, Kentucky, Lander, Liberty, Mercer, Murray State, Portland, South Florida, Stetson, Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, UAB, UCF, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Winthrop. The field will be set up with three singles divisions and two doubles divisions, with champions coming out of each.
