TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -
Head men’s tennis coach George Husack, as well as members of the women’s tennis, soccer, men’s and women’s cross country and volleyball teams took part in the annual preseason media luncheon on Monday that allowed several representatives from newspapers, television stations and radio stations to get a glimpse into the 2012-13 seasons.
“My vision for this program is to be a championship contender, not only on the conference stage, but also on a national stage,” said Husack, who enters his first season with the Crimson Tide. “When I came on my visit, outside of the obvious pride for the University, the support staff and facilities really impressed me.”
Following a brief meet-and-greet session reporters were able to sit and chat with each coach and student-athlete individually.
Men’s tennis will kick off the fall portion of its schedule in Cary, N.C. at the Duke Fab Four Invite, which is slated to run September 14-16. The Tide’s lone home appearance of the season will take place November 2-4, when it hosts the Crimson Tide Fall Championships.
