- Korey Lovett, an incoming freshman on the Alabama men's tennis team, won the BB&T Atlanta Open Wild Card Challenge on Tuesday at Atlantic Station, beating former North Carolina All-American and top-400 player Raian Luchici, 6-3, 6-4. Lovett is the second member of the Crimson Tide to make the qualifying draw as rising junior Becker O'Shaughnessey
earned a spot in June.
The qualifying draw, which consists of three rounds, will begin on Saturday, July 19 at 8 a.m. CT. Four players will advance on from qualifying into the main draw, which will start in the evening on Monday, July 21.
