TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Rising sophomore Becker O'Shaughnessey won both the singles and doubles draws at the ITA Summer Circuit Tournament at Florida State this week, earning him a spot in the USTA/ITA National Summer Championships, which will take place in Bloomington, Ind., Aug. 10-13.
Following a bye in the first round of singles, O'Shaughnessey went on to defeat all five of his opponents in straight sets, including Dominic Cotrone, 6-4, 6-2, in the championship match. In doubles, O'Shaughnessey paired up with Andrew Dromsky to win four straight matches, claiming the title over Grayson Goldin and Cotrone, 8-3.
