Tide Adds Two More Wins on Final day of Fall Championships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The men’s tennis team picked up two more wins on the final day of play at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships to bring its three-day total to 31 victories. Tide newcomer Becker O’Shaughnessey came from behind after losing his first set to beat out Tulane’s Idan Mark, 3-6, 6-4, 10-7, while Rens van der Vis won the battle of the Alabama players, posting a 6-3, 6-4 win over teammate Harris Barnard. The Tide will compete in its final tournament of the fall season next weekend when it takes part in the Georgia Bulldog Scramble, which will run Friday, Nov. 9, through Sunday, Nov. 11.
