TULSA, Okla. - Senior Ricky Doverspike and junior Jarryd Botha dropped their final match in the 2011 ITA All-American Championships falling 8-3 to Ohio State junior Devin McCarthy and sophomore Ille Van Engelen in the consolation doubles draw.

“Jarryd and Ricky had a tough one,” said Alabama assistant coach Bo Hodge. “Ohio State was just a little too good. I think Jarryd and Ricky realized that there is a lot of work to do. We have a few weeks until our next tournament, and I expect them to work hard on the court and in the gym so we have a better outing at regionals.”

The Crimson Tide will return to action on October 20 when it heads to Auburn for the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships.
