Crimson Tide Wins Four Matches at Napa Classic; Proskura Named Most Outstanding Player

NAPA, Calif. - The Alabama men's tennis team collected four additional wins on Sunday at the Napa Valley Tennis Classic to bring its win total to eight over the course of the three-day tournament. Daniil Proskura, who went undefeated until a final 10-point shootout match on Sunday, received the Norma Miner Outstanding Player Award, which has been given annually since the event's inception.

In addition to Proskura's wins against the USTA's Tom Fawcett and Florida State's Dominic Cotrone, Becker O'Shaughnessey and Nikko Madregallejo also tallied victories for the Tide, both winning in straight sets.

Next up for Alabama is the ITA Men's All-American Championships, which will feature Proskura and O'Shaughnessey in the qualifying draw of singles as well as the main draw of doubles. All matches will be held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.
