ATHENS, Ga. - The men's tennis team added eight wins on Saturday at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships with six coming in singles and another two in doubles. The Crimson Tide now has 16 wins thus far at the tournament.
In singles, Andrew Goodwin went 2-0, moving onto the quarterfinals in the division II draw. Becker O'Shaughnessey, Nikko Madregallejo, Stuart Kenyon and Saxon Buehning also added one win apiece for the Tide.
Both of Alabama's doubles teams that played moved onto Sunday's quarterfinal round as Sean Donohue and Madregallejo had a walkover and Kenyon and Buehning an 8-5 victory.
Match play resumes at 7 a.m. CT with singles, with doubles set to follow in the afternoon.
