TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama men's golf team looks to continue its torrid spring pace at the Gary Koch Invitational this weekend at the Old Memorial Golf Club in Tampa, Fla.

Through four events this spring, the Crimson Tide has captured three team titles and two individual medalist honors. Alabama swept honors in Puerto Rico earlier this spring, with the Tide winning by 18 strokes and Justin Thomas taking home medalist honors.

Recently, Alabama has put together back-to-back victories at the Schenkel Invitational and the Linger Longer Invitational, with Cory Whitsett taking home individual honors at the Linger Longer.

Hosted at the 7,389-yard, par-72 Old Memorial Golf Club, the Gary Koch Invitational welcomes some of the nation's best talent, with teams from across the country and seven teams ranked in the most recent Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.

The 15 team field includes hosts No. 3 Auburn and Kentucky, the College of Charleston, No. 23 Florida, No. 24 Florida State, No. 10 Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, No. 15 North Florida, University of the Pacific, South Florida, Toledo, North Carolina-Greensboro, defending champions No. 22 Virginia and Wake Forest.

The 54-hole tournament will begin on Saturday, April 7, with 36 holes - two rounds - and will conclude with the final round on Sunday, April 8. The Crimson Tide will tee off at 8:15 a.m. Saturday and will be playing with South Florida and the College of Charleston.

Alabama will start the same five that brought home the team championship at the Linger Longer Invitational and the Schenkel Invitational with Cory Whitsett, Justin Thomas, Hunter Hamrick, Bobby Wyatt and Scott Strohmeyer teeing it up starting Saturday.

The Gary Koch Invitational is the final tune up for the Crimson Tide prior to the post-season portion of their schedule, with the SEC Championship being playing April 20-22 at the Seaside Course at the Sea Island (Ga.) Golf Club.
