Alabama practiced for the fourth consecutive day in a two-hour session in shells on the Drew-Thomas Practice Fields on Monday. The Crimson Tide continued its work on fundamentals and conditioning.
During fall camp head coach Nick Saban has traditionally brought in speakers for the team and this season is no different. Future hall of famer Ray Lewis addressed the team last night. Lewis has over 17 seasons of experience in the NFL and was a 13-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion.
Monday night featured speaker Herman Edwards, former NFL player and head coach. Edwards now is an ESPN Analyst. He played 10 seasons as a defensive back and was the head coach of the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs.
The Tide is creeping closer to their first scrimmage of the season which will be on Saturday. Alabama will have a single practice on Tuesday, two on Wednesday, one on Thursday and another two-a-day on Friday before returning to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday.
