Countdown to Kickoff
Q&A with Jeoffrey Pagan

Dec. 30, 2013 How would you evaluate your individual performance this season?
Pagan: I think I’ve had a pretty good year. My credit goes to my teammates. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to have done anything. It’s not an individual sport, but I think I’ve done pretty well within the scheme of our defense. What is the motivation for the defense heading into the matchup against Oklahoma?
Pagan: We definitely have a chip on our shoulders. We feel like we have something to prove because we didn’t play our best in the last game. We really are coming out with the mindset that we have something to prove and show people that that’s not how Alabama is going to finish. What does it mean to you to play in the Sugar Bowl against a storied program like Oklahoma?
Pagan: They’re one of the best teams in their conference, and we’re one of the best teams in our conference. We pride ourselves on stopping the run. They take pride in running the ball. It’s going to be a challenge. What is it like preparing to play in the Superdome?
Pagan: It’s always cool. I was here my freshman year. It gets really loud. It’s always fun. How are you enjoying the visit to New Orleans so far?
Pagan: I love it. The city is full of entertainment, so I’m enjoying it.
