TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team worked for two hours in full pads Tuesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility, completing its third practice since the team returned from the holiday break, and its eighth overall in preparation for the BCS National Championship Game against Texas.

No. 1 Alabama (13-0, 8-0 SEC) and No. 2 Texas (13-0, 8-0 Big 12) will meet in the Citi BCS National Championship Game on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.  The game will be nationally televised by ABC Sports.

"I think everybody got some good rest over the break and everybody is out there working hard," Alabama senior linebacker Cory Reamer said after Monday's practice. "We know what's at stake so we are out there preparing for it for the opportunity we have created for ourselves.  We know what we have to get ready for. We're having a good time. We've done a good job at this point and it's our job to continue to do that until we fly out there and then we'll have to keep same momentum going."

Alabama will hold two more on-campus practices Wednesday and Thursday, before departing for California on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010.  The team will begin normal game-week preparations on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010.
