The University of Alabama football team went through two lengthy workouts today in chilly temperatures, its final two-a-day session in preparation for its game against the Minnesota Gophers in the 2004 Music City Bowl.

"We really had two long practices, two two-hour practices," said Alabama head coach Mike Shula.  "We got a lot of reps in, a lot of reps on Minnesota, a lot of reps afterwards with some of the younger guys.  We haven't finalized our game plan or anything like that yet.  We're going through this week, trying to get most of our work done and when we get up there it'll be more repetitions on the same things."

The first practice of the day took place at 9:30 a.m. this morning with the team working out in full pads for nearly two hours.  The second two-hour session got underway at 4:30 p.m. and wrapped up around 6:30 p.m.

Alabama will continue its workouts with an 11:00 a.m. practice on Tuesday.

The Crimson Tide will go through three more practices before breaking for the Christmas holidays.
