With the wind chill hovering in the mid-20s The University of Alabama football team continued its preparations for the Music City Bowl and head coach Mike Shula was pleased with what he saw.

"I thought we had one of our best practices and the guys were moving around pretty good," said Shula.  "They were competing hard; they were enthusiastic.  The execution was good, especially from the younger guys."

After practicing outside for nearly two hours, the Tide moved its conditioning drills indoors.  Shula said the team will continue its workouts tomorrow where it will start its focus towards the Minnesota Gophers and will perhaps close out the afternoon practice working with the younger players.

Alabama will go through two more practices on Monday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon and will continue its workouts through the week with the final practice coming on Thursday before the team separates for a brief Christmas break.
