TUSCALOOSA, Ala. The University of Alabama encourages all Crimson Tide fans who are unable to attend the 2007 PetroSun Independence Bowl on December 30, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to participate in a special ticket donation program that will send members of the military stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base, and JRTC (Joint Readiness Training Center)/Fort Polk to the game between the Crimson Tide and the University of Colorado.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for our fans to reach out to the many military personnel in the Shreveport area and show our support for their service to our nation,” said UA Director of Athletics Mal Moore. “We hope our fans will join with us in this effort.”
Donated tickets will be allocated from the $25 price level. Fans interested in buying tickets for military donation may order online at www.rolltide.com, or call 205-348-BAMA (2262). TIDE PRIDE members should note that each $25 ticket purchased for military donation adds two (2) Tide Total Priority Points to your account. Ticket windows at the Athletic Ticket Office in Coleman Coliseum are open MondayFriday, 9 a.m.5 p.m. Telephone hours are 8 a.m.8 p.m. MondayFriday and 8 a.m.5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The 2007 PetroSun Independence Bowl will kick off at 7 p.m. CST on Sunday, December 30, at Independence Stadium in Shreveport.
