TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- University of Alabama redshirt freshman quarterback Jimmy Barnes (Los Alamitos, Calif.) suffered a non-contact knee injury during practice on Saturday, December 2, according to an announcement made today by interim head coach Joe Kines.
Kines added the severity of the injury is unknown at this time and Barnes is expected to undergo more tests this week. The results will be made available as soon as the doctors have more information.
Barnes played in two games this season as the backup quarterback and completed 6 of 11 passes for 45 yards and one touchdown.
The Crimson Tide football team is scheduled to practice again on Saturday, December 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thomas-Drew practice facility.
