TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The top-ranked Crimson Tide football team held its third practice of the week Wednesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. Alabama is preparing for Saturday's matchup against the Chattanooga Mocs, who are ranked No. 21 in the Football Championship Subdivision Coaches' Poll. The game will kick off at 1:05 p.m. CT and will air live on a pay-per-view basis.
In addition to it being the last home game of the 2013 season, it is also the last home game for the Tide's senior class. A total of 16 seniors, 12 scholarship and four walk-on, will be recognized on the field prior to the start of Saturday's game.
"This game is senior day for a very, very successful class of seniors who have contributed a tremendous amount to the program here over the last four or five years, whatever their career spanned, in terms of their record, how they represented The University of Alabama, the football program and the success that they have had," said head coach Nick Saban. "Hopefully, we have had some success in contributing to their personal development, academic growth and ability to be successful in developing a career, as well as, helping them develop and improve as football players. These are all things that we are hopeful that will help them be more successful in life."
