TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 1 ranked University of Alabama football team wrapped up its bye-week with a two-hour practice in full pads at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility Thursday afternoon.
The Crimson Tide held three practices this week, spending a majority of the time on fundamentals.
“It’s an important time when you have an open date this late in the season, it allows you to get your players healthy and get them some rest," head coach Nick Saban said. "We know we have two games left and both are really good opponents, so we want to really focus on what we need to do to improve, expose our players to things they have not seen during the course of the season and this is a good time to do it.”
Alabama will take the weekend off before resuming game-week preparation for next week’s game with Auburn on Monday. The Crimson Tide and Tigers will play Saturday, Nov. 29 at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The game will be nationally televised by CBS Sports with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. (CST).
