TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team continued preparation for Saturday’s game with the Auburn Tigers on Thursday at Thomas-Drew Field.

“I thought practice went well,” Alabama head coach Mike Shula said.  “We got the crowd noise involved and we’re picking up a couple of extra reps and just doing a couple of things in practice where we need some work.

“As far as Ray Hudson goes, he’s going to dress out and he will play, and far as (any additional discipline) goes, like I said before, we’re going to hand that in-house.

“It’s going to be an incredible atmosphere down there and we’ve got to work to get off to a good start and really concentrate on the things you sometimes take for granted.”

Shula also announced the captains for Saturday’s game: Charles Jones (defense), Shaud Williams (offense), and Lance Taylor (special teams)

Handling the announcing duties for ESPN’s 6:45 p.m. kickoff are Ron Franklin (play-by-play), Mike Gottfried (analyst) and Adrian Karsten (sideline).
