TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -
The football team returned outdoors for a two hour practice in full pads, Wednesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. The Crimson Tide continues preparation for its last home game of the season.
"This is a really challenging preparation, especially for our defense, playing against an offense we have never really played against before," said Alabama head coach Nick Saban. "We have really worked hard to try to get the repetitions we need to be able to do the things that we need to do to stop these guys. They play hard, play tough and execute really well, which is why they have had so much success."
Alabama running back Trent Richardson was named one of 15 semifinalists for the 2011 Walter Camp Player of the Year. Richardson has amassed 1,523 yards from scrimmage and has tallied 19 touchdowns on the season.
A list of five finalists will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 30. The 2011 Walter Camp Player of the Year recipient, who is voted on by the Football Bowl Subdivision head coaches and sports information directors, will be presented live on Thursday, Dec. 8, during the 6 p.m., edition of ESPN SportsCenter.
Saturday's game will be televised on a pay-per-view basis by the Crimson Tide Sports Network. Chris Stewart will call the action with former Alabama quarterback Tyler Watts as the color analyst and Tom Roberts reporting from the sideline.
