TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team finalized its on-the-field preparation for Saturday's match-up with 3rd-ranked LSU amid cooler temperatures at Thomas-Drew field.
"The bigger guys moved around a little better, they like this weather," Alabama head coach Mike Shula said. "Some of the smaller guys moved around better trying to stay warm."
"I truly believe (LSU) is worthy of their ranking... It's a great challenge. It will be fun to play in this game I'm sure, and I know it's going to be fun to coach in it.
Shula said the captains for this week's game are Zach Fletcher (offense), Derrick Pope (defense) and Lance Taylor (special teams).
Handling the announcing duties for ESPN's 6:47 p.m. kickoff are Ron Franklin (play-by-play), Mike Gottfried (analyst) and Adrian Karsten (sideline). The game will also be aired on the 80-plus station Crimson Tide Sports Network with Eli Gold (play-by-play), Kenny Stabler (color analyst) and Tom Roberts (sidelines) describing the action.
