TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference and CBS Sports announced Monday afternoon that the Alabama-Auburn game will be televised by CBS Sports on Saturday, Nov. 19 from Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn starting at 2:30 p.m.
The 2005 season marks the second straight year that CBS has showcased the Alabama-Auburn game to a national audience. This will be the 31st televised game in the history of the Alabama-Auburn rivalry, dating back to the first TV game in 1964. Alabama owns a 17-13 series lead in televised games in the series. The Alabama-Auburn game has been televised 25 times in the last 26 years (1993 is the lone exception). CBS Sports is televising the game for the ninth time, with Auburn holding a 6-2 lead in those meetings.
The Auburn game will mark Alabama's seventh appearance on CBS Sports this season, including its last three games. Since Oct. 1, six of the Crimson Tide's last seven games have been shown by CBS.
Other SEC games televised on Saturday, Nov. 19 include Kentucky at Georgia and Vanderbilt at Tennessee in split telecast by Jefferson Pilot Sports. The LSU-Ole Miss game will be televised by ESPN or espn2 from Oxford.
