2006 (Junior): Recorded starts in all 13 games at right tackle to extend his consecutive starts streak to 25 games. He finished the regular season with 40 knockdowns. He had a season-high eight against Duke and led the team with six against Mississippi State. He also had five knockdowns against Hawai'i. Capps
played a season-high 72 snaps in the second week against Vanderbilt and recorded 645 on the year with over 50 snaps in eight of the 13 contests. He was limited to just 20 total plays in the final two games of the regular season due to a knee injury suffered at LSU but returned to play 62 snaps against Oklahoma State in the PetroSun Independence Bowl.

2005 (Sophomore): The starter at left tackle in all 12 games, Chris played a total of 734 snaps. He had a season high of 76 plays against Texas Tech in the 2006 AT&T Cotton Bowl. The Tide offensive line did not allow a single sack in that game.

2004 (Freshman): Chris saw action in 5 games, getting 77 snaps on the season. He had a season-high 26 plays in the Western Carolina game. He was moved to left tackle for spring practice and continued in that position behind starter Wesley Britt.

2003 Redshirted

Prep: Chris was a first-team selection to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Class A All-State squad his senior year. He was also selected to the AJC’s All-Area squad after helping lead Landmark Christian to 4,720 yards of total offense and an 11-1 record. He was one of only two juniors to make the AJC’s “Best in Atlanta and South Metro” squad in 2001. He also competed on Landmark’s wrestling squad.
