Football Straps on the Pads for Wednesday Practice

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The top-ranked Crimson Tide football team practiced for two hours on Wednesday afternoon in pads at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. Alabama will hold one additional practice during the bye week on Thursday before returning to its game week routine on Monday, Nov. 4.

Over the past six contests, the Tide has outgained its opposition by a staggering 1,521 yards (2,928 yards to 1,407), an average of 253.5 yards per game. Conversely on the defensive side of the ball, Alabama has allowed the fewest number of touchdowns in the nation since the start of the 2009 season, giving up only 78, which is 37 fewer than LSU at No. 2 with 115.

The Tide has two remaining home games on its 2013 schedule, starting with LSU on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. CT. Alabama's final matchup of the season in Bryant-Denny Stadium will take place on Saturday, Nov. 23 against Chattanooga at 1 p.m. CT.
