While continuing workouts during its off-week, The University of Alabama football team celebrated Parents' Day at practice today, inviting all parents out to watch the team.

"We got to have Parents Day out here today, we had quite a few people out," said head coach Mike Shula.  "We worked with the younger guys again and even for the younger guys it was a bigger difference for them today than yesterday.  We pretty much kept the starters out, even the ones that are healthy, which kind of limited their work."

Shula added that the starters will be kept out until Sunday, when the team begins its on-field preparation for the Mississippi State game on November 6.

Shula also mentioned that the intensity during the off-week has been good, and he attributes that to the structure of practice during the week.

"(Practice) has been shorter," said Shula.  "We've kind of got a little bit of motivation.  We can go high tempo and go short or we can go a little bit longer if we don't get that high tempo."

The Tide will workout one more time on Thursday before taking Friday and Saturday off.
