TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The football team held its second practice of the bye week on Wednesday with a two-hour session in full pads at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

The Crimson Tide will have an additional practice this week on Thursday before beginning preparations for LSU on Monday. Kickoff for Alabama's game against the Tigers on Saturday, November 5, is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on CBS.

"Every year since I have been here, the LSU game has always been a real good game," said junior linebacker Dont'a Hightower. "They have a good coaching staff, and they always have good players. We know we are only going to get their best, and they know that of us. It is all about us going out, executing our game plan, making halftime adjustments and doing what we need to do for us to get the win. We are all going to be ready."

Earlier in the day, a pair of lists were announced including the watch list for the Bryant Coach of the Year and the quarterfinalists for the Lott Trophy. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is one of 20 on the initial Bryant Coach of the Year list. The award honors excellence in coaching while also helping to raise funds to fight heart disease. Additionally, senior defensive back Mark Barron and Hightower were named quarterfinalists for the Lott Trophy, which recognizes the nation's Defensive IMPACT Player of the Year that exemplifies both athletic performance and personal character attributes.
