TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The football team practiced for two hours in full pads Wednesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. The Crimson Tide continues to prepare for the undefeated Mississippi State Bulldogs.

"This has been a really good, hard work week for us," said Alabama head coach Nick Saban. "This has been a difficult preparation on both sides of the ball. Mississippi State is obviously a very good team. Anybody that is undefeated at this point in the season and ranked 11th in the BCS has obviously earned their stripes."

Saturday will mark homecoming for Alabama. The festivities include: a homecoming parade that starts at 2 p.m., a pregame photo booth and the reigning back-to-back national champion gymnastics team will sign in the quad at 4:30 p.m.

"Homecoming is a very traditional concept that gives everyone an opportunity to come back and remember some of the great times that they had here and to reincarnate their passion and tradition for the University," added Saban. "We have a tremendous amount of respect for that."

During the game, the 2012 SEC champion and national runner-up men's golf team will also be recognized along with the homecoming court being announced during halftime. In addition, men's basketball will host an open practice at 3 p.m., with autographs to follow in Coleman Coliseum.

Kickoff for Saturday's game is set for 7:30 p.m. (CDT) and will be televised nationally by ESPN with Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge calling the game and Holly Rowe reporting from the sideline.
