TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference announced today the University of Alabama's home football game with Mississippi State, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, will be televised by Lincoln Financial Sports and will kickoff at 11:30 a.m. (CST).
The Alabama-Mississippi State game will be one of two games shown by Lincoln Financial Sports next Saturday, as the SEC syndicator will also air Florida at Vanderbilt from Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville, beginning at 11:30 a.m. (CST) as part of its split telecast.
In addition, CBS Sports will televise the LSU-Tennessee game from Neyland Stadium in Knoxville beginning at 3:30 p.m. (EST). ESPN will air the Arkansas-South Carolina game from Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C., beginning at 7:45 p.m. (EST).
The Mississippi State game will mark Alabama's sixth televised game of the 2006 season and first on Lincoln Financial Sports. The Crimson Tide has appeared on CBS four times and FSN South once this season.
Alabama has not appeared on the SEC syndicator since last year's 24-13 win over Arkansas at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sept. 24, 2005.
