TUSCALOOSA, Ala - The Alabama football team concluded preparations for Saturday's game against long-time SEC rival Tennessee with a 90-minute practice in shells inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility on Thursday afternoon.
"This is a great traditional rivalry game for both teams; very storied traditions," Alabama head coach Nick Saban said earlier this week. "They are certainly a team that has improved dramatically. Coach (Lane) Kiffin has done a really good job of creating discipline and doing the things that they need to do to get better.
"Our team is working hard. We're trying to focus on improvement so that we can continue to get better. Last week, I thought we played hard in the game, but didn't always execute and do things correctly. We've got to get the mental and physical part of it together because this will be a very challenging game for us."
The Alabama-Tennessee game will be nationally televised by CBS Sports with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. (CST) from Bryant-Denny Stadium with Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Tracy Wolfson describing the action. The game can also be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network, with Eli Gold, Phil Savage and Barry Krauss. The game can be heard locally on WFNN-FM (95.3) in Tuscaloosa.
