TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama football team practiced for two hours in full pads Tuesday afternoon as the team continues its preparation for Saturday’s game against the Tennessee Volunteers.
Alabama senior offensive lineman Mike Johnson talked about a talented Tennessee defense the Crimson Tide will go up against on Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
“We’ve been watching a lot of film on these guys and they have a lot of physical players,” Johnson said after Tuesday’s practice. “Number 5 (Rico McCoy) is a great linebacker and we’ve watched him crunch a couple of people and everybody knows about Eric Berry. They’ve got some guys up front that are talented too. It’s going to be a physical game and we expect it to be.”
The Alabama-Tennessee game will be nationally televised by CBS Sports with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. (CST) from Bryant-Denny Stadium, with Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Tracy Wolfson describing the action. The game can also be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network, with Eli Gold, Phil Savage and Barry Krauss. The game can be heard locally on WFNN-FM (95.3) in Tuscaloosa.
